We started our transport services in 1988 with one aim: to be able to provide an integrated logistics service with a quality that satisfied our clients. We started working from the first day with this purpose.

Transport strategy

The world of business, and transport in particular, has evolved greatly throughout these years, and Sacytrans has been careful not to fall behind. The birth of the Sacytrans is a reflection of our adapting to the changing times. Formed by Sacytrans, Garraioak Hontoria and Donau Tránsitos Internacionales, as well as alliances established with other companies, it was put in place to offer a more complete service, with a larger fleet, a greater variety within it and more advanced technology.

Our group will move forward with one goal: to grow strategically in order to answer the new market needs and without losing our company philosophy; to assist the customer in a personalized way to give them the best service.

SACYTRANS SYNCE 1985

1985

Foundation of SACYT, customs agency.

1988

Creation of Sacytrans. The incorporation of Spain to the EU allows the company to grow and become a leading logistics operator.

1990

The first headquarters of Sacytrans in Irún are inaugurated.

1997

Sacytrans becomes one of the first companies in the sector to obtain the ISO 9001 certification in its unwavering compromise with quality and as a leading company in the market.

2001

Sacytrans reinforces its leading position by incorporating Hontoria to the recently created Sacytrans.

2003

Sacytrans, already a leading company in its sector, reinforces its integral logistics services with an international alliance with Blue Water International Group.

2005

Continuing with its growth strategy, Donau also becomes part of the group, reinforcing Sacytrans resence and services in Eastern Europe.

2006

Opening existing facilities SACYTRANS on Logistics Center ZAISA III, which allow a better and more complete service to our customers.

2007

We began to carry out intermodal transport by making Short Sea Shipping from the port of Bilbao to Zeebrugge.

2009

Sacytrans becomes certified as a hydrocarbon operator.

2010

In order to offer a better and more complete service, Sacytrans adds a certification as an Alcohols Operator to its logistics capacities.

2012

Hontoria turns into a Cooperative, allowing its workers more transparency and participation.

2013

Sacytrans celebrates its 25th anniversary.

2014

SACYTRANS obtains the necessary certifications and authorizations for the transport of animal waste and feed.

2015

Complete the deployment of the GPS monitoring system in the entire fleet.

2017

SACYTRANS strengthens its position in intermodal transport by being firmly committed to environmental commitment.

2018

SACYTRANS adapts a year of what is required from the UNE ISO 9001: 2015 Standard and bets on new traffics of special lengths.

2019

SACYTRANS acquires new mobile box units in its conviction to the future of intermodality and its commitment to the environment.

2021

SACYTRANS Launches a project to gain positioning in intermodal transport aligning itself with sustainability.
